He finished his undergraduate degree in Mass Communications at New Era University.
In 2002, his thesis film "ULIRAT" (a short film) won the grand prize in a competition organized by the Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP).
In 2003, he was one of the 39 people chosen among 2,500+ applicants for the First Batch of Scriptwriting for TV and Film Workshop sponsored by ABS CBN, facilitated by award-winning screenwriter and novelist Ricardo "Ricky" Lee.
From 2004-2006, he was writing soap operas for ABS-CBN. He was part of the Creative Team behind "Mangarap Ka" starring Piolo Pascual, "Isabela" starring Judy Ann Santos, and "Spirits" which was under the direction of veteran director Chito Roño.
He wrote and directed another short film in 2006 -- "Ang Pinakamahabang One Night Stand" -- which might be the only Asian film to have competed in these three (3) film festivals abroad that year: Festival del Mar – Ibiza International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival in Spain; Reeling 2006: 25th Chicago Lesbian and Gay International Film Festival (USA); and the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria International Film Festival in Spain.
From 2007-2008, he temporarily left TV and film work so he can pursue a degree in Interior Design. He graduated from the Philippine School of Interior Design (PSID) in mid-2009.
In late 2009, he attended another scriptwriting workshop. This time, it was facilitated by Armando "Bing" Lao.
He has done 3 full length films under the New Breed category of Cinemalaya Independent Film festival : Bahay Bata (2011), Quick Change (2013), and Pamilya Ordinaryo (2016).
Next year, 2017, he will again be competing under the full length - New Breed category for his film LOLA IGNA. This film is also supported by the Hongkong Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF)
To date, his film and TV credits include screenwriter, screenplay writer, assistant director, production designer, film crew and of course, director.
